Kevin Murphy
Kevin Murphy is the Systems Engineer for Veeam in Western Australia and South Australia. Kevin helps clients design, implement, and operate Veeam solutions for their environments, from Proof of Concept through to full deployment. In addition to his client and prospect facing roles Kevin is responsible for enabling Veeam Partners with skills to design, deploy, and operate Veeam solutions, typically with cross skilling around Vendor partner solutions such as HPE, Cisco, Nimble, and NetApp.
Prior to joining Veeam, Kevin was the primary data centre architect for a number of Cisco, EMC, VMware, and Veeam partners throughout Australia over the last 10 years. Kevin was responsible for discussing requirements with technical and business decision makers inside of various client organisations as a trusted advisor. This process involved the creation of technical designs mapped to business requirements, integrating new systems to existing environments to provide return on investment. During his time at Cisco and EMC resellers Kevin acted as a technical reference point for Cisco data centre solutions such as MDS and UCS, and EMC storage solutions such as VNX, Isilon, XtremIO, Avamar, and Data Domain.
Outside of work Kevin is a keen outdoorsman and amateur chef who is either attempting to cook something new, or planning, or just back from, the next big adventure, such as driving the Gibb River Road in the far North West of WA, scuba diving in Florida, and is about to embark on his biggest challenge yet, becoming a Father.
